Comment:
Bush’s strong suit has been his perception as a great protector of
the United States against terrorism. Constant, and completely
invented, “Security Alerts,” coupled with equally fictitious
allegations about dozens of “uncovered and thwarted” attacks
(which are never discussed in detail because they are invented out
of whole cloth) It is doubtful, given the repeated exposition of the
utter incompetence of the DHS and other agencies, that Bush has
protected anything but his own flabby ass. If bin Laden offered Bush
or the Secretary of the Treasury a mattress cover full of non -North
Korean $100 bills, believe it that George would immediately give him
complete control over every airport and port in America. Remember
this in November and kick out the Republican Bushites. BH
