Editors note on Wikipedia Problems:

We have received a number of communications from viewers concerning ‘Wikipedia’ which advertises itself as an online information service, a sort of free Internet encyclopedia. The complaints are that the service is filled with articles obviously cribbed from other publications and not attributed but worse, many are obviously the work of spiteful contributors who publish reams of incorrect, and in some cases, libelous material.

Apparently the people who run Wikipedia welcome any kind of input which is posted by them without any kind of verification. Some of the raucous attacks on religious groups, political figures and historical events sound like the Daily Kos at full cry. Having some background in various historical subjects, we looked up specific subjects  and discovered a porridge of fiction, prevarications and material that was to all intents and purposes, included for the purpose of disiniformation. Much of this is unsourced and as reference material, what we saw was completely worthless.

Inaccuracy and mendacity is not the main problem with Wikipedia. In a number of cases, persons who availed themselves of this service were immediately inundated with hundreds of emails on the topic they had just accessed.

In one case, a gentleman had searched for material on the Christian Gospels and within an hour, his mail box was stuffed with religious notices, fact sheets, requests for money and other support. Most of these obnoxious and unwanted communications came from Evangelical Christian groups. In the first week, this individual received over 700 emails and by the end of the month, the total had exceeded 2000.

Even more obnoxious were problems encountered by a woman whose 14 year old daughter had consulted Wikipedia on the subject of abortion, information  which she needed for a school paper on that subject. She had a similar experience to the first person cited. Within minutes of closing down the Wikipedia site, this girl had received over 200 emails, mostly from religious, anti-abortion organizations and by the end of the month, the total had swelled to 3000 emails!

Needless to say, the mail boxes of both parties were jammed to the point that they were unable to receive any other emails. Both parties tried to contact Wikipedia personnel to complain but to date, there has been no response of any kind. This lack of concern is apparently standard.

The question arises, obviously, as to how the spammers obtained the email addresses of the victims. In the two cases cited above, neither had ventured into the fields of interest before. Perhaps the proprietors of the site have found a way to make a profit from their “free site.”

For those seeking accurate and sane information on diverse subjects, we heartily recommend the Encyclopedia Britannica site. Their reputation is quite beyond reproach and no one of our acquaintance has ever received hundreds of obnoxious spam messages because of their search for information there.  Editor

Subject: Back up the russian spy "story"

I know you think Wayne Madsen belongs in a lock up but he’s got the itemized notations to back up your statements about Litvenenko. Also Chris Floyd at Empire Burlesque and Justin Raimondo at Antiwar.com have been doing some heavy fact based lifting as well. The connections you draw to Litvenenko and the jewish Russian mafia are all true and worse.

Response:

Some time ago, Brian Harring, who writes for us, published a series of articles on the Oligarchy for a D.C. populist newspaper. This was full of inside information and rapidly came to the attention of the Russian government.

One of Vladimir Putin's press people contacted Harring with a view to seeing if he could find out where the Oligarchs banked their money.

Mr. Harring, who knows Christopher Blocher in Switzerland, obtained both the "black" (secret) accounts and the "white" (public) accounts and promptly turned the complete list over to this man at the Westin Hotel in Tyson’s Corners, outside of Washington.

He also was digging into the connection with the Bank of New York, owned and operated by Israeli interests, that backed these people and acted as a go-between in the Oligarch's deals with BP and Mobil/Exxon.

The New York office of the FBI was also on this trail and became highly agitated when Harring turned his material on this over to the Russians as well.

There is also no question whatsoever that Jewish members of the World Bank and the IMF were in this up to their noses.

You will note that Putin took back the Russian oil and gas holdings and is now after the Oligarchs. Some are broke, some live in complete safety in Israel, one of the biggest is in London while the former head of Yukos is in solitary confinement in a Siberian jail.

This was a subject strictly quarantined by the American media (for obvious reasons) then and is so today.

No one else wants to draw any attention to the Oligarchy and Israeli interests. And with George Bush, a slavish toady to Israeli interests, still in office, this will never see any publicity in the current media. Also, BP and Mobil/Exxon tied up hundreds of millions of dollars in their failed bid to control Russian oil and gas and are out for revenge. Bush has no power any more so they are trumpeting stories about Putin's alleged involvement in the poisoning of the former KGB agent.

They are following the vicious Karl Rove's standard practice: If you can't beat your perceived enemy, piss on him.

In the end, consider this: 'Whatever happens, Putin's got/ The oil and gas, which Bush has not."

And in this context, Bush can be equated with the United States.

This ex-KGB agent was, without doubt, caught in some arcane and convoluted in-house game involving former Oligarchy members and it is doubtful if anyone will ever know the Byzantine turns and twists of the end game.

Thank you for your comments, which I have forwarded to Mr. Harring.

I have recommended that he let us publish some of the data on this, and allied subjects, he has been amassing for over eleven years. This would provide an excellent, if immediate, laxative, for a number of people, both in Washington and Tel Aviv.

The Voice of the White House

Washington, D.C., December 11, 2006: “I keep harping on this theme and now the press seems to be awakening from their eight year hibernation and making growling noises. The theme? That Bush is a flat nut, in a state of serious denial, and absolutely determined to keep troops in Iraq until he is done here in ’08.  His family and top Republicans prepared the Baker report solely as a means for letting Curious George get off lightly but he will have none of it. I have said that unless someone beats him with a pool cue, George will never, never budge an inch on his determination to “stay the course.” That the American public, which is not too bright, finally had enough and voted, in essence, against Bush and his horrors, has not and never will dawn on him. With the evil Rove hissing in his ear that a Republican comeback depends on Bush “staying the course,” he will not give in. He can be forced, or his hand can be forced, but at this point, neither Congress nor his party wants to be so firm. Eventually, the public will demand it and we can look forward to a furious Bush, his mangy dog,  Stepford wife and sluttish daughters escaping to his new hideaway to the south while millions cheer and the neocons jam onto the next El Al flight for their promised land. No extraditions ever possible for them and joy all around at the huge deposits of looted public funds that will soon be resting in Tel Aviv bank vaults.”

The Green Zone Follies

Baghdad, 10 Dec 06: “Rumsfeld was here to say a fond farewell to his beloved troops. A number of senior officers seriously were discussing offing him but the majority ruled and he was left to escape back to DC in one piece, unlike so many GIs who go home in bits and pieces in rubber bags. Part of my job is to read the U.S. media online and make up daily news bulletins. It is truly astonishing how little they actually tell folks stateside. Of course the media  are well aware at home about the increasing violence and sudden death here, violence that grows steadily from day to day. I see utter silence in the States while we have to put up with shaped charges blowing up entire convoys or individual vehicles, turning the human contents into shredded tuna fish but nothing is commented on. Every day, and well into the night, we hear loud explosions as another car blows up in front of a crowded mosque, scattering body parts all over the walls and sidewalks. Again, no comment in the U.S. press. There is nothing anywhere on the internet about the Falcon Base disaster and never has been and the rag heads have been mortaring our bases and inflicting casualties on a daily basis but again, no mention of this. Either our brave journalists are stupid beyond belief or acting on orders not to make waves for the pathetic Bush and equally pathetic Cheney. A bird colonel said at the mess this morning, discussing both Cheney and the coming dismal holidays: “Cheney should give thanks for the turkey baster. If it weren’t for this, he could never become a grandfather.” This is not nice but damned funny. Just like a photograph of little Iraqi boys playing soccer with a GI’s severed and still bleeding head or a pack of dogs fighting over a leg with an Army boot still on the foot. You can get used to anything but if the American public ever saw what I see, they would throw up for hours and then go for Bush with farming tools. I wonder if the nasty Bush will fly in to carry a plastic turkey around this year? Last year, he flew in a plane full of DC GI’s to surround him with smiles, pretending to be awed veterans of the Great Baghdad Slaughter.  Merry Christmas, sheep!”
