Civil
insurrection in America and government countermeasures: The official
papers
By
Bradley Moscrip
An
in-depth study of official American plans to construct FEMA
detention centers in America and specific recent U.S. Army domestic
counterinsurgency plans. Here is a sampling of the ebook contents:
Gun
Control by Confiscation
As the American general population is known to be
the most heavily armed in the world, immediately upon the
declaration of Martial Law and the execution by the military of
counterinsurgency programs, it has been determined that the BATF,
will begin the process of rounding up all rifles, pistols and
so-called assault weaponry from the civil population. Lists of gun
collectors obtained from firearms dealers, gun magazine subscription
lists and other sources will be the basis for these mass
confiscations. Gun owners will be supplied documentation by the BATF
showing which pieces have been confiscated so that in the future,
they will be told, they can recover their weapons when the state of
emergency has passed. In actuality, weapons that do not have a high
value or are not suitable for arming loyalist police forces, will be
destroyed by order

The
Voice of the White House
Washington,
D.C., May 1, 2009: “For years, the far right wing of the
Republican party, allied with Evangelical Christians, banking
interests and Jewish groups aimed at establishing an iron-clad
dictatorship in this country, a dictatorship that would protect,
defend and advance their respective needs and views. They were so
blatantly obvious and so clumsy that the electorate eventually
abandoned them. The decline and fall of all the right wingers and
their various components has been hysterically funny. Old Murdoch,
heading into his second childhood, Rush Limbaugh the voice of the
empty barrel, FOX News and various religious lunatice seem to be
unable to grasp the very obvious fact that the great pendulum of
public opinion is swinging away from them and when this pendulum
swings, it never stops along the way. I am sending on a typical
posting by a Christian group that very accurately reflects the
mindless fears of these people. It is pure, and very crude, fright
tactics and while this might have had some effect in years past, now
it is only of interest to people seeking humor on the Internet or
psychologists.”
Pastors
in the Pulpit Subject to Imprisonment for “Hate Crimes”
Pastors
at risk; Hate Crimes Bill favoring certain "classes" more
than others

House agrees
to muzzle pastors with 'hate crimes' plan
The
U.S. House today approved a federal "hate crimes" bill
that would provide special protections to homosexuals but
leave Christian ministers open to prosecution should their teachings
be linked to any subsequent offense, by anyone, against a
"gay."
The
vote, 249-175, came despite intense from Republicans who argued the
measure would create a privileged class.
Bishop
Harry Jackson Jr. of the High Impact Leadership Coalition also
condemned the action, offering a warning about the nation's future.
Jackson
said the action puts "sexual orientation" in a specially
protected class under federal law.
"Based
on history, it really isn't something that needs to be
protected," he said. "There's a problem that this is going
to mark the first time that a protected class status is given to …
whatever sexual orientation one has."
He
said the experience in other countries has led to prosecution of
Christians. In Sweden, for example, a minister was sentenced to
30 days in jail for preaching from Leviticus.
Similar
state laws have resulted in similar results. In Philadelphia several
years ago, a 73-year-old grandmother was jailed for trying to
share Christian tracts with people at a homosexual festival, Jackson
said. Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., said H.R. 1913 will create
"thought crimes," and U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz.,
said it will end equality in the U.S.
Rep.
Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, charged the plan will divide America into
groups of more favored versus less. He again cited USC Title 18,
Section 2a, the foundation of H.R. 1913, which says anyone who
through speech "induces" commission of a violent hate
crime "will be tried as a principal" alongside the active
offender. But there is no epidemic of hate in the U.S., he noted.
Rep.
Randy Forbes, R-Va., introduced a striking argument: If Miss
California, Carrie Prejean, who supports traditional marriage, had
slapped the homosexual judge who derided her on the stage under H.R.
1913 she could be indicted as a "violent hate criminal,"
facing a possible 10 years in prison. But, Forbes said, if the
homosexual judge had slapped her, she would have had no special
protection under H.R. 1913.
Andrea
Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition,
said, "The Anti-Christian Caucus of the U.S. House of
Representatives has acted today to lay the legal foundation and
framework to investigate, prosecute and persecute pastors, youth
pastors, Bible teachers, and anyone else whose Bible speech and
thought is based upon and reflects the truths found in the Bible.
"A
pastor's sermon could be considered 'hate speech' under this
legislation if heard by an individual who then acts aggressively
against persons based on 'sexual orientation.' The pastor could be
prosecuted for 'conspiracy to commit a hate crime'" she said.
"This
Democrat-controlled Congress has now elevated pedophiles and other
bizarre sexual orientations, as well as drag queens, transgenders,
lesbians and gay men to the level of protection of that already
given to African Americans, Hispanics and other minorities in the
law," she said.
House
Republican leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said the Democrats have
placed a higher value on some lives compared to others, a decision
he said is unconstitutional.
Not
happy with just making Christian teachings on homosexuality illegal,
supporters have approved a law that also provides grant money for
so-called "sensitivity-training" to provide pro-homosexual
propaganda, noted the public-interest legal group Liberty Counsel.
When
a plan virtually identical to the current Local Law Enforcement Hate
Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 was developed in the last Congress,
Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala., admitted during a hearing on the bill it
could be used to prosecute pastors merely for preaching against
homosexuality under the premise that they could be
"inducing" violence in someone.
The
bill ultimately failed then because President Bush determined it was
unnecessary – the crimes banned in the legislation already are
addressed by other laws – and it probably was unconstitutional.
"The
federal hate crimes bill is bad news for everyone," said Brad
Dacus of Pacific Justice Institute, who testified in Congress
against the bill two years ago. "Instead of treating all crime
victims equally, it creates a caste system where select groups, such
as gays and lesbians, are given greater priority in the criminal
justice system. This is not progress; it is political
correctness. In other nations and states, the adoption of hate
crimes legislation has been the first step toward widespread
suppression of speech and ideas critical of homosexuality," he
said.
Matt
Barber of Liberty Counsel has spoken out against H.R. 1913 a number
of times. "As has proved to be true in both Europe and Canada,
this Orwellian piece of legislation is the direct precursor to
freedom killing and speech chilling 'hate speech' laws. It
represents a thinly veiled effort to ultimately silence – under
penalty of law – morally, medically and biblically based
opposition to the homosexual lifestyle," he said.
Barber
said the 14th Amendment already provides that victims of violent
crimes are afforded equal protection under the law "regardless
of sexual preference or proclivity." Barber cited FBI
statistics showing there were about 1.4 million violent crimes in
the U.S. in 2007, but only 1,512 were presumed to be "hate
crimes." And two-thirds of those involved claims of
"hateful" words, touching and shoving. Under the
specifications of the law, a Christian needn't touch a homosexual to
face charges, he noted.
"If
the homosexual merely claims he was subjectively placed in
'apprehension of bodily injury' by the Christian's words then,
again, the Christian can be thrown in prison for a felony 'hate
crime,'" he said.
WND
reported previously that the plan was introduced by Rep. John
Conyers, D-Mich., who said, "The bill only applies to
bias-motivated violent crimes and does not impinge public speech or
writing in any way."
Section
10 of the act states, "Nothing in this Act, or the amendments
made by this Act, shall be construed to prohibit any expressive
conduct protected from legal prohibition by, or any activities
protected by the free speech or free exercise clauses of, the First
Amendment to the Constitution."
However,
critics cite United States Code Title 18, Section 2, as
evidence of how the legislation could be used against people who
merely speak out against homosexuality. It states: Whoever commits
an offense against the United States or aids, abets, counsels,
commands, induces or procures its commission, is punishable as a
principal.
Jeff
King, president of International Christian Concern, warned
Christians to speak up before the legislation passes. He said they
are acting like the proverbial frog in a slowly heating kettle that
boils to death. "They need to wake up and take action to oppose
this threat to religious liberty."

“President
Mohammad Zia ul-Haq, U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Arnold L. Raphel,
Brig. Gen. Herbert M. Wassom (head of" the Military Assistance
Advisory Group at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad), and 27 others died
August 17, 1988, when President Zia's plane exploded minutes after
taking off in eastern Pakistan.”
Official
U.S. Department of State bulletin
On December 25, 1979, the Soviet Union made the colossal tactical
error of invading Afghanistan. The CIA at once began to implement
earlier plans and moved to support Afghanistan resistance groups
with weapons, most notably the Stinger missile that was used to
bring down Soviet attack helicopters and other aircraft.
The then-President of Pakistan, a military dictator named Mohammad
Zia ul-Haq, had no sympathy with the Russians and, following several
conferences with U.S. State Department and military personnel,
declared his “full and unconditional support” of the radical
Mujahideen. In this joint project, the United States shipped tons of
weapons intended for the rebels through Pakistan. Unfortunately for
the CIA’s plans, General Zia siphoned off at least 70% (and the
reports of the U.S.military attache indicated that the actual figure
was approaching 90%) of the American weapons for his own domestic
projects.
As one of these included arming Pakistani troops for action in the
disputed Kashmir area, strong objections from India were another
reason for CIA ire. The government of Pakistan demanded that they
alone must supervise the distribution of these weapons to the Afghan
rebels.
The outraged CIA officials, via the DCI, William Webster, prepared
an aide memoire for President Reagan that states, falsely, that Zia
had “gone over to the Russians” and was sabotaging the attacks
on them.
In January of 1988, Reagan, in a discussion with Secretary of State
George Schulz, stated that in his opinion (based solely on the
deliberately falsified CIA reports) Zia “ought to be removed from
office,” and that, “at the earliest moment.” Feeling
that this could be construed as a mandate, Webster and his top aides
initiated a plan to remove Zia.
In light of this, it was no surprise when on August 17, after
reviewing a Pakistani armor parade in Bahawalpur, Zia and a party of
officials, to include the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, Arnold Raphel
and the head of the U.S. military mission to Pakistan, General
Herbert M. Wassom, boarded the Presidential aircraft.
The official aircraft, a C-130 Hercules took off without incident.
The airfield control tower then lost contact with the pilot and
suddenly, the plane went into a
steep dive, then recovered, regaining altitude. Then it dove a
second time and crashed, killing all aboard. The Pakistani
government always believed the crash was due to sabotage and it
concluded that “the
most probable cause of the crash was a criminal act of sabotage
perpetrated in the aircraft.”
Inside the CIA, the death of top American officials was shrugged off
and one period internal memo referred casually to “collateral
damage.”
The Presidential aircraft’s hydraulic system was deliberately
sabotaged by a team of CIA specialists to include:

Editor’s comment: The subscription lists for the Slaughterhouse
Informer contained names of persons who had connections with various
U.S. governmental agencies. Their main interest in reading this
journal was to extract and pass on articles of interest. With the
advent of Mr. Moscript’s very pointed and specific articles on
CIA activities around the globe, a number of subscribers
dropped out, stating, in at least two cases, that the Moscrip
articles were “a disgrace” and that “I do not believe our CIA
would ever do the terrible things he has intimated.” On the other
hand, while they lost ten subscribers they gained thirty so the
balance is still in the favor of truth and justice.
From
the international Convention against Torture and Other Cruel,
Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment
For
the purposes of this Convention, the term "torture" means
any act by which severe pain or suffering, whether physical or
mental, is intentionally inflicted on a person for such purposes as
obtaining from him or a third person information or a confession,
punishing him for an act he or a third person has committed or is
suspected of having committed, or intimidating or coercing him or a
third person, or for any reason based on discrimination of any kind,
when such pain or suffering is inflicted by or at the instigation of
or with the consent or acquiescence of a public official or other
person acting in an official capacity. It does not include pain or
suffering arising only from, inherent in or incidental to lawful
sanctions. . .
No exceptional circumstances whatsoever, whether a state of
war or a threat of war, internal political in stability or any other
public emergency, may be invoked as a justification of torture.
An order from a superior officer or a public authority may
not be invoked as a justification of torture. . .
No State Party shall expel, return ("refouler") or
extradite a person to another State where there are substantial
grounds for believing that he would be in danger of being subjected
to torture.
Each State Party shall ensure that all acts of torture are
offences under its criminal law. The same shall apply to an attempt
to commit torture and to an act by any person which constitutes
complicity or participation in torture.
Each State Party shall make these offences punishable by
appropriate penalties which take into account their grave nature. .
.
Upon being satisfied, after an examination of information
available to it, that the circumstances so warrant, any State Party
in whose territory a person alleged to have committed any offence
referred to in article 4 is present shall take him into custody or
take other legal measures to ensure his presence. The custody and
other legal measures shall be as provided in the law of that State
but may be continued only for such time as is necessary to enable
any criminal or extradition proceedings to be instituted.
Black-hole
balance sheets
by Antal E Fekete
Our title is borrowed from a caption of the Chicago economist and
monetary scientist Melchior Palyi (1892-1970) writing on the fiscal
and monetary legerdemain of the US government in his Bulletin #401,
dated February 27, 1960, as follows:
Faking
balance sheets legalized
A corporation publishing faked balance sheets would be barred
from every stock exchange. It may even face criminal prosecution.
The objective is to protect the public against fraud.
But exactly the same fraudulent practice has been legalized in so
5ar as commercial and savings banks, and life insurance companies
are concerned.
They can carry government bonds on their books at par value.
A $1,000 bond may be quoted in the market at $800 or less; the
balance sheet of your bank will still show it at $1,000. The purpose
of this regulation, adopted by all federal and state supervisory
agencies and by the Securities Exchange Commission as well, is to
give those bonds a sacrosanct status and guarantee against paper
losses. Thereby they are promoted to an absolutely safe and
"liquid" status. The bank examiners count the bonds of the
federal government, whatever their maturity and actual market price
may be, as prime liquid assets, just like cash. The more bonds in
the portfolio, the more liquid is the bank by the examiners'
standards - never mind the paper losses.
It is small wonder that the banks purchase long-term federal
obligations, thereby creating a market for them. The result is that
with rising interest rates and declining values of medium- and
long-term securities, the modest capital and undivided surplus of
the banks - reserves against losses - are impaired. In the case of
quite a few banks, the entire capital and all reserves have been
lost. In some cases, even a part of the deposits has been wiped out.
Silence of the Sea
But the public knows nothing about this sad situation. No
newspaper dares to discuss it, or the preposterous practices of the
government at the root of it. The "Silence of the Sea"
covers them up. Those on the inside (and insight) hope and pray that
a recession will reduce the pressures on the capital market, lower
interest rates, raise bond prices, and wipe out the losses. Very
likely it will; but what about the next cycle? And, above all, for
how long, or how many times, will the depositors and savers permit
themselves to be fooled and victimized? Sooner or later every
legerdemain, however clever or subtle, is exposed - and backfires.
A further consequence is that the bond portfolio of the banks
"freezes up". By selling bonds, the bank would convert
paper losses into real losses, which would skyrocket if major
amounts were liquidated. While the boom and high interest rates
obtain, the "prime liquidity" turns out to be the very
opposite, unless the bonds are monetized at, and the losses shifted
onto, the Federal Reserve. But the central bank can be relied upon
to resist the "temptation" to absorb either or both.
The above was written in 1960. In 2009, we are wondering what
has hit our banks. No mystery there. It was not subprime mortgages
nor other loose lending practices. The banking crisis is entirely
self-inflicted or, more precisely, government-inflicted, the origins
of which - faking balance sheets - go back almost 90 years.
That practice cannot go on forever. The day of reckoning
comes when capital is called upon to do what it is supposed to do:
to tie over the bank during a temporary setback. The kitty is
opened, and found empty. Bank capital is gone, due to earlier
legerdemain in trying to paper over paper losses.
The situation is actually worse, as far as the condition of
our banks is concerned. So far, deposits have not been affected
during this crisis. Depositors feel secure in the belief that they
are protected by the government and its deposit insurance scheme.
Here is Palyi, writing in the same article on this subject:
Dumping ground for the
federal debt
Government agencies that have no other choice in investing
their funds, though they are not organs of the Treasury, are an
obvious dumping ground for the debt of the federal government. A
most interesting case in point is the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation (FDIC). It sinks the "insurance" premiums paid
by the banks into long-term government bonds, as a guaranty fund
representing less than 2 percent of "insured" deposits.
The FDIC itself has brought out in its Report for 1957 that, in
effect, deposit insurance is relevant only in the case of a banking
crisis - in which case it would not be helpful at all. All its funds
would be exhausted at once if a single one among the eight or 10
biggest banks would get into trouble, to say nothing of a
wide-spread bank-run.
The public's impression is that the government guarantees
deposits which it does not. Worse still, in order to make good on
the "insurance" of even a small fraction of
"insured" deposits, the FDIC would have to liquidate its
own holdings, which would break the bond market. Not only is this a
phony arrangement which serves only to mislead the public, but it
also induces the banks to neglect building up their capital accounts
properly for the protection of the deposits. Rather, they rely on
the "insurance" - and on their own holdings of government
securities.
The
hare-brained Geithner-plan
Now, 50 years later, we have a fully fledged banking crisis
on hand, and the FDIC will soon face its first real test since its
establishment in the 1930s. Is deposit "insurance" a myth
as suggested by Palyi, designed to mislead the public? There is
plenty of evidence that it is.
Why did the big Wall Street banks not sell government bonds
from their portfolios before begging Congress for bailout money? On
the face of it, this would have been a good time to sell, as the
bonds are quoted above par value by the market, thanks to a
super-low interest-rate structure. Could it be that the bond market
is rigged? Could it be that high bond values are artificially
maintained, for example by tempting bond speculators to the long
side of the market with risk-free profits, and threatening those on
the short side with sudden death - the essence of open market
operations as I have long suggested? This time we shall find out.
If you examine the latest measures initiated under Treasury
Secretary Timothy Geithner, there is indeed reason for alarm.
Geithner openly invites private investors to speculate, risk free,
in buying the toxic assets of the banking system. The risks, should
they materialize, are covered by pledging, most improperly, the
assets of the FDIC. If the gamble succeeds, private investors may
keep the assets they have bought on the cheap. Otherwise, the FDIC
will pick up the tab and will reimburse investors for their losses.
Let me ask the only relevant question. Why would private
investors, in their right mind, speculate in toxic assets which have
no market, given the fact they can already speculate, directly and
risk-free, in the "ultimate" asset that is held in the
guaranty fund for those toxic assets, that do have a market in which
the troubled banks compete with overseas central banks for the bonds
of the US government? The Geithner-plan is a hare-brained plan, and
is bound to fail.
Portfolio frozen as the Antarctic
When it does, there will be a run on the banks. It will be
ugly and unstoppable. Only about 10% of the money supply is in the
form of Federal Reserve notes, and people will be scrambling for
them. The printing presses will be run 24 hours a day, seven days a
week, and they will still not be able to meet the demand.
Apparently, foreigners are already scrambling for Fed notes. They
could of course have Fed deposits in the form of electronic money,
but they wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole. They want dollars
they can fold.
Make no mistake about it, behind this unprecedented world
panic and bank run is the book-keeping legerdemain that the US
government and its bank examiners have adopted after the 1921 panic
in the bond market. Thereby the commercial and savings banks, as
well as insurance companies, in the US were authorized to carry
government bonds at par value in the balance sheet, as if they were
a cash item, in complete disregard for what they would fetch in the
open market.
Moreover, banks and insurance companies could also use them
as gambling chips, buying and selling them to pocket risk-free
profits. They just have to second-guess the Federal Reserve.
Whenever the Fed has nature's urge to go to the open market to
relieve itself (read: to buy more bonds for the purposes of
collateral in order to be able to increase the money supply), they
could pre-empt it in buying the bonds first. In this way they bid up
the price of bonds and then dump them in the lap of the Fed for a
quick profit.
Now the whole shady scheme of misleading the public through
balance-sheet hocus-pocus is coming unstuck. Make-believe bond
values have backfired badly. As it turns out, the banks' portfolio
of government bonds is as frozen as the Antarctic - just as Palyi
predicted 50 years ago that it would be.
Grand Canyon holes in balance sheets
The banks cannot liquidate those portfolios without revealing
Grand Canyon-size holes in their balance sheet, several times larger
than bank capital. They desperately need to retain their portfolio
of government bonds for "window-dressing" purposes, that
is, to show at least the remnants of what had been bank capital in
happier times.
They desperately try to hide the fact that even the ruins of
their capital are gone. The much advertised "stress-test",
no doubt, is using the same metric that has steered the banking
system to the ground during the past 90 years: the metric assuming
that government bonds can never lose value, and bank balance sheets
are there to falsify based on that false metric.
Such an assumption is especially dangerous when the
interest-rate structure is at the low-end of the spectrum, and the
country is suffering from a chronic balance of payments deficit. It
is difficult to see how one can treat the stress-test and its
results with respect.
We shall see how adroitly Fed chairman Ben Bernanke will
handle the printing press, which he is in the habit of boasting that
the US government has given him to use in a situation like this. He
will not be able physically to print Fed notes so fast as to replace
electronic money that has been lost, or will be lost through
rejection by the public.
Electronic money had been created in the belief that nothing
more was needed to pacify the markets. But it is one thing to create
electronic money with a click of the mouse; it is quite another
thing to print Fed notes on real paper with real ink.
This is the secret of deflation, and the answer to the
much-debated question whether you can have hyperinflation and
deflation all at the same time. The answer is that you can, because
hyperinflation refers to electronic money that people reject, and
deflation refers to Fed notes that people hoard.
The moment of truth has arrived. You cannot fool all the
people all of the time. The emperor is naked: the tailors who
created his garments are impostors. Too bad for the impostors.
Unlike in Hans Andersen's story where they decamped in a hurry,
Bernanke and Geithner stayed and will have to face the ire of the
emperor - and that of the people when they find out that their
deposits are gone with the wind.

I
don't know the answer to that one but perhaps the Post can tell us.
It told
readers that Republican members of Congress "were
enraged" over the $1.2 trillion deficit projected for the 2010
budget.
Given
that the major cause of the deficit is an economic crisis brought
about by the policies pursued by a Republican president some people
may wonder whether the Republicans really were enraged, as opposed
to just trying to score political points. However, the Post was able
to determine that the Republican rage was genuine. Perhaps they can
share their method for distinguishing real rage from feigned outrage
with their readers.
The
Müller Washington Journals
1948-1951
Excerpt
17
At the beginning of December, 1948, a German national arrived
in Washington, D.C. to take up an important position with the
newly-formed CIA. He was a specialist on almost every aspect of
Soviet intelligence and had actively fought them, both in his native
Bavaria where he was head of the political police in Munich and
later in Berlin as head of Amt IV of the State Security Office, also
known as the Gestapo.
His name was Heinrich Müller.
When Heinrich Müller was hired by the CIA¹s station chief
in Bern, Switzerland, James Kronthal in 1948, he had misgivings
about working for his former enemies but pragmatism and the lure of
large amounts of money won him over to what he considered to be
merely an extension of his life-work against the agents of the
Comintern. What he discovered after living and working in official
Washington for four years was that the nation¹s capital was, in
truth, what he once humorously claimed sounded like a cross between
a zoo and a lunatic asylum. His journals, in addition to personal
letters, various reports and other personal material, give a very
clear, but not particularly flattering, view of the inmates of both
the zoo and the asylum.
Müller
moved, albeit very carefully, in the rarefied atmosphere of senior
policy personnel, military leaders, heads of various intelligence
agencies and the White House itself. He was a very observant,
quick-witted person who took copious notes of what he saw. This was
not a departure from his earlier habits because Heinrich Müller had
always kept a journal, even when he was a lowly Bavarian police
officer, and his comments about personalities and events in the
Third Reich are just as pungent and entertaining as the ones he made
while in America.
The
reason for publishing this phase of his eventful life is that so
many agencies in the United States and their supporters do not want
to believe that a man of Müller¹s position could ever have been
employed by their country in general or their agency in specific.
Introduction
In
the early morning hours of September 25, 1963, a grave was opened in
the West Berlin Kreuzberg military cemetery and the contents removed
for forensic examination. The marker indicated that the occupant of
the grave was Heinrich Müller, born April 28, 1900, and killed in
the street fighting in Berlin in 1945 when the Soviet Army seized
the German capital. The memorial stone did not indicate that Müller
had been an SS-Gruppenführer and a Lieutenant General in the
German Police and that since 1935, was the head of the German
Gestapo or the Secret State Police.
The
exhumation had been requested by the West German Ludwigsburg Center
that dealt with ex-Nazis sought for prosecution. This Center had
information that Müller was not dead and was, in fact, gainfully
employed by a foreign government. One of the first steps in proving
this was to ascertain whether the corpse in the grave was that of
Heinrich Müller who had been issued a death certificate from the
Death Bureau of Berlin-Center numbered 11 706/45.
A
subsequent pathological examination proved that there were the
remains of three different men in the grave, none of whom were
Heinrich Müller.
Given the position Müller occupied in the Third Reich and
the role he played during its course, the question arises as to why
no writer or historian has made any attempt to produce an in depth
work on the head of the Gestapo. Aside from several pages in two of
Heinz Höhne’s books and some material in Aronson, there is almost
nothing in print about Heinrich Müller, and much of that extremely
superficial or inaccurate. Although considerable information does
exist in official files in archives, Müller has fallen through the
cracks for several reasons.
Primarily,
Heinrich Müller was a man who neither sought nor encouraged
publicity. Unlike many of Hitler’s satraps, Müller disliked
public display and was rarely photographed. Also, Müller was
devoted to hard work and results, and preferred to work in private.
Secondarily,
writers are drawn to the dramatic and the flamboyant, not the cold
and secretive. Most treatments of historical personages consist, in
the main, of wholesale filchings from previous writers, gotten up in
new clothing but without substance. In the academic world, this is
not called plagiarism, which it is, but instead labeled as research,
which it is not.
Thirdly,
U.S. intelligence agencies give every appearance of being singularly
displeased by any mention of the name of Heinrich Müller.
In
1973, West German authorities issued a warrant for the arrest of
Heinrich Müller, having good reason to believe that he did not die
in Berlin in 1945. Correspondence, still classified in US files,
between German legal agencies and their US counterparts indicates
unhappiness, frustration and growing displeasure on the part of the
Germans and classic stonewalling on the part of the Americans.
Portions of Müller’s US CIC files now in Ft. Meade, Maryland,
have been censored. None of the documents refused to researchers
deal with immediate postwar searches for Müller but cover a much
later period. The reasons given for continued classification is that
their release would adversely affect US national security.
Historical
Background
Living
comfortably in Switzerland under the name of Schwartzer after the
end of the Second World War, as an intelligence resource of the
Swiss government, Heinrich Müller was contacted in 1948 by his
onetime deputy in the Gestapo, SS-Oberführer Willi Krichbaum.
Krichbaum, a long-time personal acquaintance of Müller, had been a
senior Gestapo official in the Southeastern Grenz-Polizei or
Border Police and had headed the Geheime Feld Polizei, the
investigative and enforcement body
of the Abwehr since September of 1939.
In
1946, former SS Colonel Krichbaum was Gehlen’s chief agent
recruiter stationed in Bad Reichenhall. Krichbaum was responsible
for locating former Gestapo and SD agents and securing positions for
them inside the Gehlen Organization.
This
organization, located at the former Nazi official complex at Pullach
southeast of Munich, became affiliated with the CIA when that
organization was officially founded in 1948. According to Müller’s
papers, Krichbaum had been in touch with his former chief through
ex-Gestapo personnel living in Switzerland and opened discussions
with the Americans about the possibility of employing Müller.
The
head of this organization, Lt Colonel James Critchfield of the CIA,
had heard rumors that the head of the Gestapo had fled to
Switzerland and was working with Swiss intelligence. Through the
services of former SS-Oberführer Krichbaum, Critchfield made
contact with Müller in early 1948
Because
of Müller’s knowledge and expertise in matters concerning Soviet
intelligence, backed with archival material that the former head of
the Gestapo had hidden in Berlin and Switzerland, the CIA expressed
an immediate and intense interest in recruiting Müller. Krichbaum
acted as a go-between in the negotiations with his former superior
who was chafing at his comfortable but boring retirement and the CIA
controlled Gehlen Organization under Colonel James Critchfield.[1]
It
was never a question of the Americans threatening Müller with
exposure if he did not cooperate, but more a question if Müller was
willing to work for a former enemy. In the event, because of his
detestation of communism and the perceived opportunity to do further
damage to this system, Müller had little difficulty in working for
American intelligence.
After the war and his resettlement in Switzerland, Müller
resumed keeping his journals and he brought these with him to the
United States in 1948. Heinrich Müller¹s journals were certainly
never intended for publication or justification. They are always
brutally frank, cynical, highly informative and at least for some
readers, entertaining. Müller did not suffer fools gladly and even
though he had to work with his former enemies, there was no reason
for him not to perform private literary surgery on their overweight,
alcoholic bodies and flabby personalities.
The CIA offered him a job. He took it and used his position
to ingratiate himself with the President of the United States and
the Director of the FBI as well as to marry into a wealthy and
influential Washington family. He had no hesitation in exchanging
information and confidences with a high-level Soviet agent although
his raison d¹etre was to assist his new employers in tracking down
and exposing the same people. At one time, he had the same agent to
dinner with two of the senior members of the CIA and, from his
notes, thoroughly enjoyed the irony of the situation. In fact, it
could be said that Müller always seemed to enjoy the ironical side
of his work, took nothing seriously and filled his journals with
comments and asides which the complaisant and conventional view with
genuine horror and, more often than not, great disgust.
In Washington, Müller lost no time in climbing the social
ladder and filling his Georgetown home with a fortune in art stolen
by the Germans during the war. Some of this art, which included
portions of the famed Amber Room, he sold off for the private purses
of his co-workers in the CIA. He once gave a small, very private
dinner for the President to which Müller wore all of his Third
Reich and Imperial decorations and while sitting across from
President Truman, discussed the activities of Senator Joseph
McCarthy, a man to whom Müller was supplying inside information to
aid him in his reign of terror.
Müller had known the British-Soviet spy, Harold “Kim”
Philby who worked for everyone from the Nazis to the communists,
before the war and renewed his acquaintance when Philby was sent to
Washington as British liaison to the FBI and CIA.
There are several instances where Müller, Philby and Viktor,
his NKVD friend, would sit in the refined atmosphere of Washington¹s
highly exclusive Metropolitan Club library and discuss all manner of
highly classified information. In return for his hospitality, Müller
was given an equal amount of highly classified Soviet and British
information that his CIA employers found of great value. This high
level information trading between putative enemies is typical of the
intelligence communities of all nations and is certainly the rule,
not the exception.
Initially, when Müller came to Washington in 1948, he was
not fluent in English and was certainly a stranger, but he quickly
adapted. From trivia about his water pipes and the weather, Müller¹s
journals quickly expand into detailed, highly opinionated, coverage
of the Red spy hunts, the internecine fighting in the nation's
capital, open warfare between the FBI and the CIA, and Müller¹s
negative and often highly entertaining views on the top levels of
the CIA. It is in these passages that Müller wields the knife as
well as the bludgeon.
Although happily married, Müller had no problem conducting
brief but intense affairs with the bored and unsatisfied wives of
his closest co-workers, affairs which he had no problem entering in
his journals, along with any significant pillow talk he gleaned from
his romps in a Gretna Green hotel bedroom.
Becoming a friend of Sothenes Behn, wealthy and powerful head
of IT&T, Müller took a great interest in the American stock
market and with the advent of the Korean War, began to buy stock in
companies dealing with the Pentagon. He obtained highly secret,
inside information on contracts to be let by the American military
and he and his Soviet spy friend began to invest heavily in the
market.
In his relations with his personal staff, Müller clearly
emerges as a kind and very considerate man but outside of his inner
circle, he was entertaining, pleasant... and utterly ruthless. He
kept at least one assassin on his staff and had no qualms when this
man dispatched people who Müller felt might have identified him as
the former head of the Gestapo. At the same time, Müller encouraged
romances among his staff members, gave extensive financial support
to the family of one assistant and certainly was very kind and
affectionate to his dog.
Although it is doubtful if Müller could have added valuable
medical knowledge to his other attributes, nevertheless, he
instructed his CIA co-workers in various methods of giving unwanted
people sudden heart attacks.
When he first came to Washington, Müller noted that a number
of inconvenient people, to include James Forrestal, were being
thrown out of upper floor windows to their deaths on the pavement
below. He suggested that an induced heart attack was far less
dangerous to people passing by on the sidewalk beneath the victim.
One of
the criticisms of the series on, and by, Heinrich Müller is that
the tenor of the conversations held between American government
officials and the former chief of the Gestapo is outrageously
cynical, manipulative and amoral on the part of all parties
involved. There seems to be an image fixed in the minds of a few
which has all leading members of a government in general and the CIA
in particular, participants in an elegant and refined tableau
reminiscent of a dinner at Thomas Jefferson¹s
Montecello
where serious matters of state were debated by high-minded gentlemen
over port and a pipe of fine Virginia tobacco. In reality, the days
when gentlemen were to be found in government are long over and
forgotten with only the memory lingering on to uplift the spirits of
the hopeful and trusting. Pragmatism and ruthlessness have replaced
manners and morals so that the private discussions of Presidents,
Congressmen, Cabinet members and heads of intelligence agencies
sound far more like a sit-down in a Brooklyn clam house between
Mafia dons than an eighteenth century literary salon. As Müller
himself often said, morals and ethics are excellent norms but not
very effective techniques.
Nearly all of the historical events depicted in these books
run counter to the history which has been taught in the schools or
depicted in an endless flood of works on the Second World War and
the years subsequent. In the main, this is because the propaganda of
those eras has been codified by the participants themselves and
embroidered by a following legion of obedient court historians,
poured into literary concrete and pointed to with great pride by
their creators.
The survival and employment by the United States of Heinrich
Müller and a significant number of his former agents is contained
in American archives but for reasons that are entirely obvious,
these papers are still sealed with the highest security
classifications. Even though all the participants in this event are
long dead, governments, like corporations, are living entities and
the sins of the fathers are not to be visited upon their children.
The journals of Heinrich Müller are by their very nature,
revisionistic in the extreme and because of this revision of
favorite myths and legends, abhorrent to the orthodox as well as
those who chance to be employed by the same agencies that Müller so
brutally scores. In order to refute his ugly depictions of national
icons, legions of historians, government officials and ubiquitous
academics have been improving their shining hours by frantic and
extensive searches in various archives and official records on two
continents. The sole purpose of their labors is to attempt to
disprove the myriad allegations of ignorance, idleness and vice
expressed by the former head of Hitler¹s secret police in his
private journals. The sum and total of all this wasted labor can be
found in such unhappy comments as are found in a British
intelligence journal which states with shrill authority that because
there were two typographical errors in three volumes, the contents
of all of them have no historical value whatsoever.
Intellectual acuity is not a hallmark of either the members
of British intelligence or the CIA. Most especially the latter.

7. February, 1951.
I have completed the negotiations with Angleton concerning
the Italian Foreign Office papers. There are nearly 15,000 pages
there that the Gestapo seized in Rome from the Italian FO in the
Palazzo Chigi in 1943.
Kappler (the head of the SS and police in Rome, ed.)
grabbed them on Ribbentrop's orders and they were shipped to Berlin
for evaluation. After the 20th of July, we took custody of them and
I later had them hidden in the walled-up cellar in a villa in Dahlem
along with the rest of my files.
These were in a side room, also walled-up, and when we got my
other records in 1948, I didn't bother to tell them about the
Italian files. These we got a few months ago and I brought them to
the attention of Angleton because of his intense interest in Italy.
After all, he had lived there with his family once and then
during the war, was with the OSS in Sicily where he acted as a
middleman between the U.S. government and the Sicilian Mafia. He
dealt with Luciano at the time and is still believed to have very
strong connections with both the Italian and American Mafias. When I
showed him some sample pages of the Chigi papers, he became very
interested and wanted to get them.
I found out that there were Italian police reports in there
about the Mafia in Sicily. Mussolini hated them and was trying to
eradicate them from Italy. Of course, Angleton wants them to help
his friends and I am willing to oblige. He does not know that I am
aware of his connections and his stupid lie that he wants to
"have an overview of Italian history" is sheer nonsense.
When I told A. that these files would cost the CIA a quarter
of a million dollars, he didn't twitch an eyelid. There is a great
deal of money lying around and he paid it without protest...and in
cash! Of course I have a microfilmed copy of the lot!
This is what happens when an intelligence agency speaks in
hushed tones about "National Security", gets huge sums of
money from a gullible, and often frightened Congress, and knows with
great glee that they won't have to account for a pfennig of any of
it.
My God, they do steal at that!
"It costs money to send my son to Harvard," they
say with a wink as they stuff their briefcases with big bills. Also,
do not forget that sun porch on the summer home up on Lake Vagina or
even the summer home itself.
Of course the Government pays for their cars and all the
expensive and useless trips they and their wives take to Lisbon,
London and Paris. Here, they get to inspect the local office, meet
with important whores (if their wives aren't along) and manage to
get drunk on very expensive vintage wines. If they go to England,
they drink piss-warm beer and eat food that would gag a hyena but
then they can buy a suit (on the expense account of course) on
Saville Row and cohabit with tarts in phone kiosks while talking to
their wives about the wonderful show at the Buckingham Palace when
the guard was changed.
Actually, I would prefer to work with the Mafia if I had to
deal with the criminal element. I understand that they, at least,
have a code of honor. My associates certainly do not.
What will I do with all the money?
Why go to Cuba as the emissary of Colonel Behn and enjoy
myself at the casinos and other places. As a note here: The CIA
operation in Cuba is run by some demi-intellectual snob with fewer
brains than a piss ant. If you gave a white mouse a Harvard degree,
they would make him station chief in Mexico! Of course there will be
a good deal of Angleton’s money left over to use on the
furnishings for my chapel. I suppose this is what they mean by the
difference between the Sacred and the Profane. The place is a wreck
and very close to the road but it ought to be rebuilt. If it proves
to be too much of a chore, we will use one of the rooms in the main
house. (In the event, the ruined chapel is still in ruins and can be
seen today as a heap of stones beside the road. ed.)

A letter by Roosevelt has surfaced in a New York paper, which
is not unexpected.
I have a copy of the article on the desk here. In this
letter, which appeared in the papers of a Spanish diplomat and was
reprinted in a French paper last month, Roosevelt is writing to a
Jewish politician about wanting to give Stalin freedom of action in
eastern Europe and a warm-water port. He asked this politician to
broach the matter to Stalin.
Yesterday, the State Department alleged that this letter was
a forgery but without any substantive argument.
I cannot see why anyone would bother to falsify something so
obvious. Everyone knows that Roosevelt would have given Stalin
anything he wanted and all Roosevelt wanted in return was Stalin's
full cooperation in his United Nations idiot project.
Roosevelt was far too stupid to have original thoughts and in
this business, was only aping Wilson's League of Nations. Roosevelt
should have taken note of the opposition to this in America and the
eventual defeat of the project.
The letter is probably genuine but at this point, no one
cares except the leftovers of the New Deal and other
Roosevelt-worshippers. And one can trust absolutely nothing
coming out of the State Department who are a nest of fairies and
proto-communists.
An entertaining lunch with Philby who was in a terrible state
about some dinner he gave last January for important people. It
seems that disgusting Burgess, who is living with Philby for some
obscure reason, made an appearance and caused havoc with the guests
with his drunken and aggressive behavior. Philby said that among the
insulted were (William K. ed.) Harvey, the chief of the CIA
counterintelligence section and his wife. Philby said that B. so
insulted the wife that they all left and he is now afraid that
Harvey is "very vindictive" towards him. And with reason.
I asked P. why he had permitted this oafish fairy to disrupt his
work and he had no answer at all.
I have been asked to "chat up" Harvey and find out
just what he is up to.
Friday,
23. March, 1951.
I had my dinner with the Harveys at a small restaurant that
specializes in Spanish food. I met Frau Harvey for the first
time. Her name is Libby (for Elizabeth no doubt) and she is rather
thin and dark-haired. She also drinks like her fat husband. Both of
them loathe Burgess and, because of him, Philby. Harvey said Burgess
insulted his wife and that he suspected both of them of being spies.
I tried to dismiss the Philby suspicion by saying that Philby was no
doubt reporting on Washington affairs to Whitehall but Harvey thinks
to Moscow as well. He has no proof but is certainly persistent and
this, coupled with his vindictiveness and position in the CIA does
not look that good for P.
The wife is obviously encouraging his attacks. Women love to
stir up disharmony and the Chinese ideogram for trouble is two women
under one roof. One can assume from his actions that Burgess would
fall into the female category although what Philby sees in him is
something I would prefer not to contemplate. Himself, probably.
Both the Harveys poured down the martinis ( a filthy
concoction that tastes like cleaning fluid) until finally, dear
Libby slipped off her shoe and stuffed her wriggling foot into my
crotch. Under the table of course, but in the condition her husband
was, she could have ripped off her dress and scrambled up onto the
table and he would have gone on talking to his plate. After her
contortions, accompanied by her entertaining act of sticking her
tongue out and wiggling it like a pink flannel necktie, she put her
shoe back on (God be praised!) and wrote her telephone number on a
piece of paper and stuck it into my jacket pocket.
All this time, Harvey himself was muttering about Hoover and
what an asshole he is. Apparently, H. worked for the FBI and Hoover
sacked him with some nasty comments about being a drunk.
The food was interesting for a change but the evening was a
total waste except for the foot action and the wagging tongue. The
Harvey woman certainly gets heated up with a few drinks. One or two
more, and I have no doubt she would have crawled under the table and
fellated me before the dessert!
On the way out of the restaurant, she fell down and when her
drunken husband tried to lift her up, he fell down. I had the
manager call a taxicab as they were obviously too drunk to drive,
either one of them, and I didn't want to give them a ride in my new
Cadillac because one or both of them would have spewed all over the
seats.
William King Harvey was thirty-five when he encountered Müller.
A native of Indiana, Harvey had been an FBI agent stationed in New
York until he was fired by Hoover for being a chronic alcoholic.
Harvey, who had considerable knowledge of Soviet espionage, then
took his knowledge, and his drinking habits, to the CIA where he
soon became chief of counterintelligence. His wife, Libby, a native
of Kentucky, was a woman of little sophistication and was not able
to function in Washington society without resort to an extensive
ration of dry martinis. Harvey, known as the Pear because of his
short, fat body, disliked Hoover and engaged in open warfare with
his former superior. He was a loud, aggressive man who developed a
strong personal dislike for Harold Philby and attacked him
constantly, eventually eroding Philby's standing with British
intelligence and leading to his defection to Russia in 1963. Ten
years earlier, his nemesis, Harvey, was transferred to Berlin to
head the CIA office there.
In 1952, Harvey had divorced his
wife, Libby, and obtained custody of their young son. He never
discovered that Müller had a brief but steamy affair with his wife,
who eventually committed suicide, but blamed her fall from grace to
a connection with "some German bastard." Other problems
were the official cause of their breakup but the Teuton who so
encrusted him with horns remained his friend and the two of them
ended up in BOB or Berlin Operations Base, the CIA nerve center in
Berlin.
Harvey indeed was a man with a considerable knowledge of
Soviet intelligence operations but Müller had an infinitely greater
knowledge and Harvey depended heavily on his Swiss friend for
information and assistance with German. Harvey, like so many other
CIA specialists in Germany, was unable to read, write or speak a
word of German.
There is a very strong reason to believe that Harvey, far
from being an enemy of Hoover, was in fact still in contact with his
former chief and passed along inside information to him about the
working of the CIA, an organization that was feared and disliked by
the FBI chief.
After Harvey returned from his duty in Berlin, he became
involved in other serious matters for the CIA and in 1963, became
involved under James Angleton, in the assassination of John Kennedy.
Harvey was in charge of the assassination squad and later dealt with
Mary Pinchot Meyer, Kennedy’s mistress and former wife of Cord
Meyer, a senior CIA official.

Pentagon uses Facebook, Twitter
to spread message

FORT
MONROE, Va. - You don't often hear a three-star general using the
word "friend" as a verb.
But
for Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley and other Army brass, a new era has
brought a new language - and new tools like online social networks
Twitter and Facebook - for seeking out young recruits and spreading
the military's message.
Freakley,
who heads the Army command that oversees recruiting, says social
networking sites offer another way to reach tomorrow's soldiers.
"They
live in the virtual world," Freakley said. He cited Facebook as
a key component in targeting 18-to 24-year-olds. "You could
friend your recruiter, and then he could talk to your friends."
Even
Gen. Raymond Odierno, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, has a new
Facebook page to answer questions about the mission in Iraq and
spread the word about what the troops are accomplishing there.
The
Army isn't the only branch of the military with Facebook friends or
that has a following on Twitter. The Air Force has also established
a Facebook page, Twitter feeds and a blog, while the Marine Corps is
using various networking sites mainly for recruiting purposes. The
Navy is "experimenting" with several forms of online
media, and some of its commands are using Twitter, a spokesman said.
Even the Coast Guard commandant regularly updates his Facebook
status while traveling.
The
Army has also added to its Web site video games, a virtual recruiter
and clips that answer commonly asked questions about life in
uniform.
Showing
off the videos during an interview at his office at Fort Monroe,
Freakley said some of the questions were surprising: Can I have a
dog in the Army? Can I buy a truck in the Army? Can I be married in
the Army?
The
Army, Freakley said, wants to answer those questions.
Earlier
this year, the Army established an online and social media division
within its public affairs office. The division's director, Lt. Col.
Kevin Arata, said the search is on every day to find new avenues
online to reach not only soldiers, but their families and the
general public.
"We
know that's where they are, and we need to go to them," Arata
said.
The
Army recently launched its own Facebook page, which contains much
the same information as its official Web site.
Lindy
Kyzer, who updates the site, along with the Army's Twitter feed and
blog, says the networking sites add a different dimension: chat.
"We
really try to make it an open forum," Kyzer said, adding that
negative posts are not removed. The Army has deleted some comments
it deemed not "family friendly."
"Everyone
has an opinion and it's amazing that the Army is showing both
sides," said Danny Andazola, a 24-year-old Army reservist from
Denver who has posted on the Facebook page. "When younger
people see comments from both sides, it can easily help them decide
if the Army culture is for them."
The
Coast Guard also maintains a presence online.
Adm.
Thad Allen, Coast Guard commandant, routinely updates his Facebook
status from his cell phone while traveling. He also posts video
blogs from overseas, said a spokesman, Lt. Tony Migliorini.
The
services' presence beyond their Web sites represents what Arata
called a "culture shift."
"I'm
sure there was the same pushback years ago when somebody invented
the telephone. 'Ooh, you can't talk there because somebody might
hear you.' Well, that's the whole point. We want people to hear
us."
Comment:
If a significant number of internet users believe in Planet X, the
weird 9/11 myths and HAARP fictions, why not believe the crap dished
up by the military? Since the Army and Marine Corps have lost many,
many trained me, the Pentagon is frantic to build up their base and
are resorting to every dirty, and transparent, story to lure the
unsuspecting into their clutches. BH
Minnesota orders ISPs to
blacklist gambling sites
May 1,
2009
by
Declan
McCullagh
cnet
The
state of Minnesota has handed Internet providers a 7-page
blacklist (PDF) of gambling Web sites that they're
supposed to prevent customers from accessing, a move that raises
First Amendment and technical concerns.
"We
are putting site operators and Minnesota online gamblers on notice
and in advance," said John Willems, a Minnesota Department of
Public Safety official, in a statement. Companies that received the
list of off-limits Web sites--which was made public on
Thursday--include AT&T, Comcast, Qwest, and Sprint/Nextel.
The
Department of Public Safety's letters to the Internet providers say
that "gambling is illegal within Minnesota" and claim that
a federal law "requires upon notice by a law enforcement agency
that you do not allow your systems to be used for the transmission
of gambling information."
Federal
law says that a "common
carrier" must "discontinue or refuse, the leasing,
furnishing, or maintaining" of any service if it's being used
to transmit gambling-related information. (The U.S. Supreme Court
and the Federal Communications Commission, however, have suggested
that neither cable
providers nor DSL
providers are "common carriers.")
Joe
Brennan of the Interactive
Media Entertainment and Gaming Association in Washington,
D.C. said on Thursday evening that his group just found out about
the blacklist and is consulting with First Amendment attorneys to
evaluate its options.
Minnesota's
move echoes what happened in Pennsylvania about six years ago. The
Keystone State enacted a law permitting the state
attorney general to deliver
orders to Internet providers telling them to block possibly illegal
Web sites.
But
a federal judge in Philadelphia struck
down the law in 2004 on First Amendment grounds, saying:
"There is little evidence that the act has reduced the
production of child pornography or the child sexual abuse associated
with its creation. On the other hand, there is an abundance of
evidence that implementation of the Act has resulted in massive
suppression of speech protected by the First Amendment."
One
reason the law failed to survive the court challenge was because of
the way the modern Web is designed. Because many Web sites can share
one Internet Protocol (IP) address, blocking the IP address makes
the entire list of sites inaccessible. (An expert report prepared
for the trial says that out of over 20 million .com, .net, and .org
domains, over two-thirds of the sites shared an IP address with at
least 50 other Web sites. In many cases, Web sites shared an IP
address with thousands of other sites.)
Minnesota's
efforts may suffer from the same overbreadth problem. Its blacklist
includes GetMinted.com,
a gambling site with an IP address listed of 194.36.21.124.
Sharing
that IP address is another site called Cashcade--a domain devoted not to a virtual
casino, but to a parent company's corporate site, with a product
list and hyperlinks to a gambling
news Web site that it owns.
“The American Army even recruited and evacuated the head of
the Gestapo, Heinrich Mueller. To prevent later accusations that
the United States government was employing the notorious
Mueller, the Americans used Gehlen’s organization to finance
his work.” Trento, Joseph, “The Secret History of the
CIA” New York, 2001, p29.
